What to write about

Report a calculation error

This is the most useful message you can send. If a contrast ratio, a type-scale step or a harmony result disagrees with a tool you trust, tell me which two colours (or which settings) and what you expected. Include the hex values and the numbers from both tools, and I will work out which one is wrong.

Request a tool or a feature

Describe the job you were trying to do rather than the button you want, and say what you used instead. That is usually enough to work out whether it belongs here.

Corrections to a guide

The guides cite their sources. If something is out of date, imprecise, or plain wrong — particularly where a WCAG success criterion is concerned — send the reference and I will correct the page.

Accessibility problems with this site

If any part of this site is unusable with a keyboard, a screen reader or at a high zoom level, that is a bug and I want to hear about it. Tell me your browser, your assistive technology and which page.

Licensing and reuse

Palettes you generate are yours to use commercially — no attribution and no permission needed. If you want to reuse long passages of a guide, or embed a tool, ask first.

What I cannot help with

• Design reviews. I cannot look over a whole interface or audit a codebase by email.
• Legal or compliance sign-off. A passing contrast check is not a legal certification of accessibility, and I cannot provide one.
• Anything that needs your private data. Do not send client files or credentials. Every tool here runs locally, so you should never need to.

Response time

Usually a few days. Bug reports that come with reproducible steps get answered fastest. If you have not heard back in two weeks, send the message again — it means it was missed rather than ignored.
