Pandaxq checks numbers. It does not certify compliance. A passing ratio on this site is evidence that two specific colours meet a specific threshold. It is not a statement that your page, product or organisation is accessible or legally compliant.
The tools and guides on this site provide general information about colour, contrast and typography. They are not legal, accessibility-audit or design-professional advice. If you need assurance for procurement, litigation risk or a regulated obligation, engage a qualified accessibility specialist and test with assistive technology and real users.
Contrast figures are computed in double-precision floating point and then displayed rounded to two decimal places, which can create apparent disagreement of a hundredth between tools. Where a value sits within a few thousandths of a threshold, treat it as borderline rather than as a pass — a value of 4.49 fails, and browser rounding of your own colour values can push a 4.51 result below the line on a different device.
The preview on this site is rendered by your browser on your display. Different panels, calibration, colour profiles and ambient light all change how a combination actually looks. A ratio is stable; perceived appearance is not.
You are free to use the calculators and to link to any page. You may not attempt to disrupt the service, scrape it in a way that degrades it for others, or represent the output as a formal certification.
You do not upload anything to use the tools. If you contact us with a correction or suggestion, you grant us permission to use that feedback to improve the site, without any obligation of attribution or compensation.
The written guides, the interface and the code are ours. You are welcome to quote short excerpts with attribution and a link. The colour values and scales you generate are yours to use anywhere, including commercially, with no attribution required.
The site is supported by advertising. Advertisements are labelled and are supplied by third-party vendors. Their presence is not an endorsement of the advertiser by us, and no advertiser has any influence over a calculator result or editorial position.
